About Us

Grundy Mutual Insurance Association was established in 1888 by a group of farmers and continues to serve the needs of its policy holders with products, stable rates, and personal service from local people.

We write business in Grundy, Blackhawk, Butler, Franklin, Hardin, Marshall, Tama counties.

We are locally owned by our policy holders and are currently controlled by a seven person Board of Directors. We are further controlled by the Iowa Insurance Department under Chapter 518 of the Insurance Code. We are reinsured by Grinnell Reinsurance Company.

We have a risk assessment program that insures a member of our staff makes an onsite visit once every three years, updates our picture file and recalculates replacement cost to insure you can feel confident you have proper coverage.
